Extreme Sports Cafe offers paramotoring and paragliding courses in Thailand in several locations. Our paragliding training locations are Pattaya and Petchaburi.

The aim of Extreme Sports Cafe's Paragliding (and Paramotoring) School is to teach the skills and attitude required to safely enjoy the sport of paragliding.

The system adopted by this school is heavily based on the British system used by the BHPA. All of the tasks will be logged and recognised by all international paragliding associations as a thorough education in the sport of paragliding.

Remember to keep paragliding Safe and fun you should not fly unsupervised until you have reached your Club Pilot rating...

Paragliding Elementary Pilot Level

The Paragliding beginners course will cover ground canopy control, basic flight theory, site assessment, parachute landing falls, take off and landing skills and basic meteorology and air law. It is approx 5 days including 1 day of theory, videos etc. with a small exam at the end based on the BHPA's (English) standard. All equipment for this course is supplied (A small discount is given if you have your own kit).

All the initial paragliding training is done at 3 sites in Pattaya and will take you to the equivalent of BHPA Elementary Pilot level.

Paragliding Club Pilot Level

Petchaburi ThailandThe Paragliding Intermediate level is an additional 5 days (Approx.). It covers more practical flying skills and is done at Petchaburi.

It will cover ground to air instruction over radio, spot landings, soaring flights, rapid descents, collapse recovery and theory plus exam. You must have your own equipment for this course!

This course will take you to the equivalent of BHPA Club Pilot level.

Paragliding Tandem Flights

Level 8 - "First time paraglider course"
Elementary Pilot Course

Learn at our school one hour from Bangkok.

By the end of this course you will have learnt how to set-up, launch and land your paraglider for short flights (approx. 10m altitude).

*This course can be used as an Introduction to Paramotoring.

 

4 Days, 3 Nights.

Ground handling and first flights.

Included - Transfers, Accommodation and Food.

 
   

Level B - "Advanced paraglider course"
Club Pilot Course

Learn at our location two hours from Bangkok. A 60-70m high mountain area.

By the end of this course you will be a confident paraglider who can fly in a variety of locations and conditions with confidence.

 

7 Days

Independence and confidence in the air as a paraglider pilot.

Included - Transfers, Accommodation and Food.

 
   
Level C - "Stunt flying" Coming soon.
   

Paragliding adventure days

Equipment and mobile support is provided

Loey Phu Rua

soaring in loeyA northerly facing ridge about 3km is easy to drop onto from the north east facing take off. Hills form most of the surrounding terrain.

There is a good road to take off.

You MUST report to the Forestry office half way up the road before you fly. No site fees to pay!

A good site for the prevailing northerly winter wind.

Sik Hiu Khoa Sadao

paragliding khoa sadaoKhoa Sadao is one of the best cross country flying sites in Thailand. The take off area is situated in the middle of a 5 km 'bowl' shaped south facing ridge.

This ideal topography allows pilots plenty of soaring time to get the right thermals from the flatlands in front.

Ample landing areas, the facilities of a local golf complex and beautiful scenery make this a great paragliding site.

Petchaburi Khoa Dan

paragliding petchaburiPetchaburi is the most recent site to be opened in Thailand, It is also the nearest flying site to Bangkok. There are ridge/hills to the North and South with flatlands to the East. People fly all weekends and you must join the TGC to fly there (Membership available on launch) daily flying charge 100 baht (privatly owned hill).

Rayong Lam Chaleon Beach

Rayong offers a very long beach for paramotor beachcombing, great in the early evening.

We have two tandem paramotors for passengers...

Rayong also offers some good training and winching areas.

Chumphon Khoa Pang

Khao Pang is another classic XC site, a 3 Km ridge with East and West side take off areas, good flatlands flying and ample landing areas.

paragliding phuketPhom Matep Cape offers some spectacular coastal soaring.

There are no bottom landing areas, only sea!
