What is Paragliding, and what is a paragliding Tandem Flight?

Imagine soaring over magnificent peaks, glaciers and valleys with nothing between your boots and the ground but clear air. Tandem paragliding gives sightseeing a brand new meaning:

The inflatable wing that suspends you and your pilot/instrutor is ultra hi-tech material that unfolds from a backpack. After launching, you ride comfortably in a specially designed harness that holds you in place while your pilot flys the wing. You fly with confidence knowing that you have a fully qualified and rated tandem/instructor pilot at the controls.

After a pre-flight briefing on paragliding and what you are about to experience, you are coached on how to work with your pilot to launch and land successfully. Once in the air you can relax and enjoy the view and commentary from your pilot.

Bring your video or still camera. These pictures will really get them talking when you get home again.. And they might even convince you to come and do the whole Paraglider course, if your Tandem Paraglider flight didn't already!

Tandem Paragliding flight - Without any training or experience you can fly like a pro for 10 to 15 minutes.
Tandem flights use a wing large enough to hold two people, a pilot / instructor and a passenger. Each person has their own harness, which are attached together, with the passenger in front, and the pilot right behind.

A tandem paraglider flight with an instructor.

We take off from Mystic Hill 1,500 feet above Bright. The paraglider is launched by your instructor, within a few paces you find yourself lifted skyward with an unobstructed view of spectacular scenery. You are paragliding!

We are keen for you to participate, conditions permitting we will encourage you to fly the paraglider yourself. It's an experience you'll never forget.

Choose between a 500 metre high glide from Mystic, flight time 10 minutes or take an extended thermalling flight above Mystic, flight time 20 - 30 minutes.
